MFA Thesis Exhibit at SVA Chelsea Gallery
Joseph’s MFA thesis installation was exhibited at SVA’s Chelsea Gallery from June 27–July 13, 2024. The SVA Alumni Society granted the project the 2024 Thomas Reiss Memorial Award for work addressing humanitarian issues, a special recognition for the piece’s exploration of queer and trans femininity.

Editorial Portraits with Grace McLean
Joseph recently completed a new series of editorial portraits for Broadway actress Grace McLean (Suffs, Bad Cinderella), who also just released her first full length independent album, My Lovely Enemy.
The shoot was focused on the idea of deconstruction. In collaboration with stylist Savannah Shearouse, they attempt to break down the classic, glamorous beauty Grace often embodies by tearing the studio apart around her, and pulling at the seams of her personal styling — literally & figuratively.
Broadway Bares with Maya Thomas
In June, Joseph shot a promotional portrait series with Broadway actress Maya Thomas (Harry Potter & the Cursed Child) for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’s annual “Broadway Bares” fundraiser. The 2024 theme was “Hit the Strip,” and the shoot was styled by Savannah Shearouse, with authentic showgirl wardrobe pieces provided by Black Haus Creative.
Secret Identities at SVA Gramercy Gallery
Joseph’s photo series Secret Identities was selected for a juried group show at SVA’s Gramercy Gallery from May 15 - June 3. The exhibit, titled What Casts a Shadow, featured work from 11 distinguished SVA artists.

Excerpts from this project were also featured in (be)longing, a public art exhibit in Brooklyn in 2023, curated by Emily Markert with funding from the Grand Street BID.
Collaborations with D’Lourdes
Joseph shot the album art for D’Lourdes’ acoustic EP softer, for now, as well as the music video for their single “Villain.”
It was a really exciting pair of projects at totally different ends of the spectrum — a somber analog editorial shoot on medium format film and a zany Halloween-themed green screen video shoot. Both shoots were styled by @savymakeupart, and “Villain” was directed & edited by Dylan Flasowski.
More photos from the EP cover shoot releasing soon.
Work From Home at SVA Gramercy Gallery
Excerpts from Joseph’s documentary photography series Work From Home were selected for a juried group exhibit at SVA’s Gramercy Gallery in August. The series follows a pair of non-binary theatre artists, referred to as “S” (they/he) and “A” (they/he), who use online sex work to supplement their income.
Revenue from any prints in this series are split evenly with the sex workers featured in the images.
Isolated Intimacy at A.R.T./NY Gallery Three
Joseph’s fine art photo series Isolated Intimacy was presented in a solo exhibition at Gallery Three, the third floor gallery space at A.R.T./NY’s downtown Brooklyn arts venue, the South Oxford Space. An opening reception was held on Thursday, September 1, and the exhibit was open to the public through December.
Several limited edition archival inkjet prints have been sold, and more are available for purchase. Pricing upon request. Contact Joseph directly with any inquiries.
Kwēn Dizzy - No Kap Music Video Premiere
Joseph produced, shot, and edited the music video for “No Kap” by Brooklyn rapper Kwēn Dizzy for the Bodega Bars competition sponsored by NY-based businesses Curved Papers and Cool Suppliers. The video premiered at the annual NORML FORML NYC, a major fundraiser of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Law.
Kwēn Dizzy’s album Flāvors is out now, streaming everywhere.
